Last November we took a quick look at Sub Rosa Spirits, the Oregon micro distillery run by Mike Sherwood. Today I got to meet Mike and sample his distinct-tasting Saffron Vodka and Tarragon Vodka, plus a rum and liqueur he’s preparing to bring to market.

gee, if they used turmeric for the saffron, they could call it poor man liquor or almost, but not quite curry us booze. Now who would have thought to use spices good for the liver in a potion bad for the liver?
