I have a weakness for ads that boldly (and intelligently) display a product benefit. This ad for Nugget Shoe Polish from The Jupiter Drawing Room in Johannesburg is a classic example.

Sorry. I normally don’t like to encourage the ad beasts. But it is refreshing to see literary allusion so prominently at work in an ad (if, indeed, that’s what we have here). Especially, Pynchon. That’s heavy lifting!
