One of the things I like about driving across country are the regional brands one encounters along the way. This morning I woke in Asheville, NC–after driving in from Chicago–and made my way to Port City Java for my iced quad espresso. It was great.
A few hours later, I pulled over in Columbia, SC for one country steak biscuit and one country ham biscuit at Bojangles. If you enjoy salty, buttery dishes, Bojangles just might be the best fast food going.

You were close to my neck of the woods, my friend (Charleston). Hope you got the BoTatos at Bojangles! They’ll change your life.
And if you like good BBQ (and can tolerate ridiculous confederate flag wavin’ ridiculousness), give Bessinger’s a try next time your in Columbia…

You have displayed good taste by stopping at Bessinger’s….You not only have ad/marketing game, but you know how to pick ’em.
Keep up your great blog with more great chunks of info. Also, feel free to check in at my blog. I use your stuff often at two different blogs:
‘The Irondog Chronicles’- http://www.unc.edu/~bretd/blog.htm
‘Notes from the Lab’ –

Actually, I’m hoping to one day settle down. But thanks for the encouragement, and for welcoming me to the ‘hood, so to speak.
I clicked around your sites and want to thank you for the pointers, esp. the link to WXYC in Chapel Hill. I love streaming community radio. You can be anywhere and drop in on a place and get a feel for what it’s like, or at least what it sounds like. I do it daily.
