Note: On this day 21 years ago, I made my first six posts to this website. This was before the dawn of social media, and my posts back then were mostly short bursts of information, much like what came to Twitter a few years later. Much has transpired in the advertising, marketing, and media industries since 2004, and Adpulp.com has likewise experienced several twists and turns. What’s remarkable to me is how I keep coming back for more. And why. Brand communications is a fascinating topic and a powerful presence in our lives. I am drawn to it, and there’s no sense in denying it. The industry can do great harm and thus must be held to account. At the same time, memorable ads made by conscious, talented people can uplift others and help support important causes. So, onward we go, exploring new ideas and celebrating old school fundamentals.
If you’d like to help celebrate Adpulp’s 21st birthday, please consider buying us a coffee. We love coffee and appreciate your support! Now back to our regularly scheduled programming…

This fall, Land O’Lakes is teaming up with Hailey Whitters, a GRAMMY-nominated, platinum-selling singer/songwriter from Shueyville, Iowa, to celebrate dairy farmers and promote Land O’Lakes Butter and Cheese.
Here she is serenading a dairy cow.
The recording artist recently released her Corn Queen album which pays homage to her Iowa farm upbringing. Saving Country Music says this about the album: “From shotgun weddings, to hitchin’ your wagon, to nails in the coffin, Hailey Whitters takes the cornpone and makes it cool. There’s a playful nature about her approach that keeps everything accessible, like the funky sound of the song ‘Wholesome’.”
Land O’Lakes offers urban audiences a bit of the pride, grit, and joy of rural life, and Hailey helps them deliver it.
The campaign was created in partnership with Land O’Lakes’ creative agency of record, Battery.
