I’m not sure what “marketing managers” means, because it could mean any number of things depending upon the context. Case in point, I interviewed for two different high level social media marketing positions in Portland, but was disappointed to learn of the paltry compensation.
For all the talk, there isn’t a lot of walk at big corporations just yet. I think many are “just doing” social because they’re wanting to keep up with the Joneses, rather than solve a particular marketing problems.
