Music blog, Motel de Mocha, is showcasing a great quote from W.E.B. Du Bois. It’s one that creative professionals can certainly relate to.
“Now is the accepted time, not tomorrow, not some more convenient season. It is today that our best work can be done and not some future day or future year. It is today that we fit ourselves for the greater usefulness of tomorrow. Today is the seed time, now are the hours of work, and tomorrow comes the harvest and the playtime.”
Oh great, Robert Hunter’s writing subheads for an ad blog-what’s next, is George Parker going to pen lyrics for a Bob Weir’s solo project?
Actually, I’ve been dipping into the lyrics pool for years, but no one ever seems to notice. Thanks bilbo, for noticing. As for Parker writing lyrics, now there’s an idea! Although, I think someone other than Weir would need to deliver them. Tom Waits could do it.
