Virgin America, the California-based airline, is letting Gary Vaynerchuk pick the wines it serves. Vaynerchuk’s entertaining Wine Library TV will also make its debut this month on the airline’s in-flight entertainment system.
“As the only airline based in California we pride ourselves on our fresh approach to the in-flight menu and we’re excited to partner with world-renowned wine expert Gary Vaynerchuk to take our summer food and wine menu to new heights,” said Porter Gale, Vice President of Marketing at Virgin America.
The first selections by Vaynerchuk making their debut in the First Class cabin on all Virgin America flights this month are:
* Turnbull Sauvignon Blanc 2008
* Arrowood 2002 Sonoma County Merlot
“Wine is meant to be enjoyed in a variety of settings and I’m thrilled to be working with Virgin America to give travelers a more varied, upscale food and wine experience at 35,000 feet.”
