“I love Adpulp, man! The analysis is awesome.” -Ian Schafer
Barack Obama took all of my money when I wasn’t looking.
Barack Obama promises everyone a washer and dryer when he gets elected.
Barack Obama wants to change the country – from a democracy to a socialist state.
Barack Obama is the messiah.
Wee, this is fun!
Andrew Sulivan on Obama:
I usually hate it when people say stuff like “A vote for so and so would be a statement not about him, but about Americans themselves.”
But electing Obama would seismically shift how America is perceived by the rest of the world. In a good way, I think, but I guess that’s debatable, depending on your political point of view.
what astounds me is that in a democratic republic of 250 million people we appear (to the outside world) to be fixated on sharing the presidency between two families. it’s like we think they have magic powers or something. it should be a source of national embarrassment.
at least obama and mccain are fresh second names.
New last names, but the same old political machines that need greasing. Lots of work still needs to be done to rid the place of outdated equipment and thinking.
david,
another thing that astounds me about american politics is the public’s naive lack of realization that “corruption” is what makes politics work in the real world.
so-called corruption is how politicians the world over — and it’s not an easy job — get paid. and get re-elected.
@ veedub – Realizing and accepting are two different things.
Hill is running on the platform you just described. She’s selling fear and reminding us all to put a tough, deal making boss in the White House. Or we’ll end up with a speech maker.
The Clintons are realists through and through. But being a realist isn’t nearly enough for the challenges we face today.
