I don’t have any real spy news right now, but here’s a string I’ve been following in my head regarding Crispin Porter + Bogusky.
Agency looses ConAgra account for creatively shooting from the hip and reanimating Orville Dedenbacher (was it a self-inflicted wound or did the client encourage them to jump and commit suicide to keep his job). The right move would have been to do some homework before pulling the trigger.
Crispin Porter + Bogusky signs up for TiVo research to learn why consumers skip ads. Answer. Because you’re not doing any homework or telling consumers what they want to hear. Bad aim. Need more practice. Strike Two
Today, TiVo reported almost triple second quarter losses.
