Yet Another Facebook Story: The Melting Pot Spreads The Love

Orlando agency, Push, prepared a new Perfect Pairing Facebook application for its client, The Melting Pot, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
The idea is for you to play matchmaker. Got friends you think would make a perfect pair? Use The Melting Pot’s Perfect Pairings application to see how they match up. Melting Pot will give you a free chocolate fondue just for participating.
The “Stir Things Up” campaign also features new advertisements, posters, direct mail pieces, bounce-backs, radio scripts and e-blasts that can be personalized for each of The Melting Pot’s 141 franchised locations.
John Ludwig, Push chief executive officer and founding partner, said, “we saw from our own experiences that the restaurant has a great share in the special events category, but needs to build upon that foundation in order to further strengthen and grow its business.”
So starting from a place of strength–one of the year’s most special events and biggest night’s at the restaurant–Push is kicking off a campaign that will extend beyond the weekend. Maybe if enough people “stir things up” this weekend, relationships will form and there will be plenty of reason to return to The Melting Pot on any given week night.
[UPDATE] I added the app and made a pairing, but I see no updates on my Profile page, nor on the pages of the couple in question. I’m also wondering how and when my free chocolate fondue gift certificate arrives.
