Women Are Rocking The Fishing Boat

2018 is the year of the American woman. Oh yes, she’s bad and she’s nationwide.

New research shows kids are more likely to go fishing with their mom – a direct contradiction of the idea that fishing is a boys club. Yet, a 2017 study revealed that only 19.3% of women and girls believed that an angler looked like them.

As more girls take an interest in fishing, moms have a great opportunity to shatter the “bass ceiling” and set a strong example for their kids.

This new “Making Waves” campaign from Colle McVoy in Minneapolis celebrates women who love to fish.

National in scope, the campaign for the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation features videos and digital components that portray fishing and boating as a thrilling and fierce activity that women love as much as men.
