According to Promo Magazine, Kraft executed a timely value-themed promotion, the Kraft Casserole Challenge, where five bloggers competed to make recipes that feed eight people for $20 or less.
Suburban Bliss, Miss Zoot, Confessions of an Apron Queen, My Wooden Spoon and Livin’ With Me! all put their best dish forward, with My Wooden Spoon taking honors for her Shrimp Stroganoff Casserole.
The bloggers “all have strong followings so we have encouraged them to blog about their recipes,” said Sherina Smith, brand manager for Velveeta.
A winning casserole recipe was featured in yesterday’s free standing inserts and Velveeta in-store displays will promote casseroles in the third and fourth quarter.
