Self-Promo Ad #5

I’ve spent many years working closely with brand managers at Coors, Diageo, Camel, and other top tier consumer brands. Which is great. But now I’d like to apply my knowledge in a slightly different arena. I want to help my friends who run businesses (and other people who run businesses that I’d like to be friends with) develop content strategies for the social Web. I’ll also help develop traditional marketing materials, as needed.
What’s exciting for small business owners is the fact that they can gain traction on the social Web, if they’re so inclined. Gary Vaynerchuk is a textbook example of this. Using totally free distribution channels, Gary V’s down and dirty videos about wine tasting are now enduring “advertisements” for his family’s wine distribution business. But one needn’t go as far as Gary V. to feel the warmth of the social space glow.

About David Burn

I wrote my first ad for a political candidate when I was 17 years old. She won her race and I felt the seductive power of advertising for the first time. Today—after working for seven agencies in five states—I am head of brand strategy and creative at Bonehook in Portland, Oregon.
