“We’re thrilled to have Brian lead us into the next phase of DIGIDAY,” said Nick Friese, CEO of DM2 Media | DIGIDAY. “Our mission is to serve the digital media and marketing industry with the best source of news, insights and information everyday. When I was thinking about who the right person would be to help us achieve that, there was only one name that came to mind; Brian Morrissey.”
Morrissey has been digital editor at Adweek for the past six years. During that time, he led the publication’s coverage of digital media and marketing, frequently speaking at industry conferences. He has nearly a decade of experience in the industry, writing previously for DM News, ClickZ and Silicon Alley Reporter.
Morrissey said, “Our goal to make DIGIDAY the leading voice of the digital media industry. It’s exciting to build a new type of vertical media property from the ground up. We want to set the agenda for the marketing industry that’s in the midst of a historic transformation from analog delivery vehicles and business models to the digital era.”
