I believe Nike wants you to play soccer, so they can sell you the gear.
Interestingly, I was just talking to a dad about which sports his under five kids want to play, and he said anything they want to play is fine, but he hopes they don’t choose soccer.

Would love to know how many different locations that was shot in. And how many different principals. I’m sure there have been more expensive commercials, but since big-budget spots are few and far between these days, this one seems really big.
