The New York Times details the movement of one key executive from TV to the web. I have a feeling we’re going to see many more such migrations in the coming years.
The New York Times Company has appointed Vivian Schiller, senior vice president for television and video at the paper, to the position of senior vice president and general manager of The New York Times on the Web.
Ms. Schiller, 44, will manage the day-to-day operations of NYTimes.com, the newspaper’s Web site.
Before joining the Times Company, Ms. Schiller worked for the Turner Broadcasting System as executive vice president for CNN Productions.
