Wendy Ludlow Clark is the boss. Literally. Omnicom promoted her to the role of DDB Global President and CEO.
She is the first woman to hold the office.
Clark carved an interesting path to this lofty position. She was Director of Client Services at GSD&M in Austin before migrating to the client side and eventually working as President of Coca-Cola’s Sparkling brands division. She then boomeranged back to the agency-side as CEO of DDB in 2016.
Now, this…
“I want to use this position to create more opportunity for more women,” she told Adweek.
“Diverse teams and inclusive teams are higher performing,” she said. “This isn’t the nice-to-do thing—this is the right thing to do for business outcomes, for attracting and retaining talent, for achieving our goals internally.”
