Why do urban artists wear Timberland? Could it be that Timberland works harder than most to appeal to young urban customers?
In this new campaign from Timberland and their agency, Pereira O’Dell, the brand’s “Nature Needs Heroes” platform and commitment to a greener world is front and center.
In an interesting twist, the campaign presents community and urban spaces as overlooked forms of nature—nature in need of protection, just like the remotest of wild places, but for different reasons.

A handful of artists—Joey Purp from Chicago, Radamiz from New York City, Andrea Valle from Philadelphia, Che Lingo from London, Abby 6ix from Milan, Luidji from Paris, and Kwam. E. from Hamburg—all testify about their city and their place in it.
The campaign also asserts individual and community responsibility for these spaces.
