This comes not too long after Wieden’s Jeep and Dodge spots. Sounds like America certainly needs some reassuring these days, doesn’t it?

All I can think about when I see these “America the Builder” spots from any of domestic car brands currently running one is, that’s the best argument Detroit has to offer?
Wieden and Goodby are capable of so much more. But the clients in these cases are clearly not ready for car ads that don’t look like car ads. Yet, I can’t think of a category that needs reinvention more.
