W+K/NY Cooks Up Outdoor Board That’s Really Just A Prop For An Impromptu Celebrity Event

Rock stars love the money from a corporate gig, but they often prefer to play the show in relative privacy, far from the spotlight. But not TV on the Radio. This band with a media-friendly name, climbed up on a Heineken Light billboard in Manhattan last week and played a short show that received minimal advance publicity.

According to Adweek, “the billboard, under normal circumstances a totally banal piece of media, actually becomes compelling once you put a popular musical act in front of it.”
