Who’s Your Natty?

I don’t understand how this got by legal. You can’t overtly market beer to kids, including college kids. Everyone knows said demo is a must have, but rarely do you see it called out like this.

About David Burn

I wrote my first ad for a political candidate when I was 17 years old. She won her race and I felt the seductive power of advertising for the first time. Today, as head of brand strategy and creative at Bonehook in Portland, Oregon, I'm focused on providing affordable and effective integrated marketing solutions to mid-market clients.

  1. Looks like someone on the local end (distributor, CVS employee, etc.) fancies themselves a copywriter. Doubt it’s anything sinister. Just unsupervised.

  2. kfillini says:

    It’s not sinister. It’s outstanding.

  3. If you worked at CVS, wouldn’t you do the same thing?

  4. I reviewed the Natural Light website. No student focus there. I agree with the prior posts. It is probably a young man or woman right out of school working for a distributor servicing a CVS close to a university campus. Once someone at Anheuser-Busch sees this blog post, I guarantee they track that sign down and have it removed it ASAP.

  5. FYI. NATTY LIGHT is a registered trademark now.

  6. kfillini says:

Thanks for taking the time to review the site, George. Keep up the good detective work.
