Target’s Flo-like character has been busy promoting Black Friday, which starts five hours from now on the East Coast.

The character (invented by Wieden+Kennedy) has 15,361 followers on Twitter at this time. Pam Mandel is not one of them.

    I personally love the Target Black Friday shopper character.
    I’m not a crazy Black Friday shopper, but it does bring my attention to a more
    Target focus than Wal-Mart. In my opinion, I think the obnoxious characters
    like the Target lady and Flo from Progressive instill the brand name in the
    viewers mind because they remember it and when the time comes to shop for Black
    Friday or insurance, they have a quick recall of a specific store to go to.
