Upward And Onward For The People’s Wine Critic

After five and half year and more than 1000 episodes of WineLibraryTV and Daily Grape combined, Gary Vaynerchuk will make wine videos no more.

Vaynerchuk changed the wine world with his down-to-earth, often raw, descriptions of wine. He pulled the stuffing out of it, and while some traditionalists surely bristle at his takes, I’ve been a big fan from the beginning.

In his send off video, Gary says this shift of priorities isn’t about devoting more time to Vayner Media or about an upcoming TV show — “we’ve turned them all down” he says. He says it is about being an entrepreneur first. I welcome what’s to come from this man. His incredible energy and spirit move mountains, and that’s inspiring stuff.

About David Burn

I wrote my first ad for a local political candidate when I was 17. She went on to win her race, and I felt the power of persuasive copy for the first time. Starting in Portland in 1995, I worked my way across the country as a copywriter and eventually became a content director making media products for big packaged goods brands. I returned to Oregon in 2008, and now I focus on building brands for companies that matter, including this one.
