About David Burn

I wrote my first ad for a local political candidate when I was 17 (she went on to win her race, and I felt the power of persuasive copy for the first time). Today, I live near Portland, Oregon and spend my days building brands for companies that matter.

Ah holidays, always a great way to get a little extra advertising kick. Very smart, Progressive. I don’t think I would recognize someone “dressed up as Flo” but you never know. Seems like another example of how advertisers are attempting to enter into our daily lives, by subtly, and sometimes not so subtly, sending messages that go beyond TV and newspaper ads. Halloween costumes, what a great way to get others to do the advertising work for you, and to have your advertisement walk around, for free, in the social world.
