Today In Twitterverse: IM Shopping

IM Shopping is a well named new information service that’s leaning heavily on the Twitter platform. According to Moco News, people can ask questions about products they’re interested in by directing them to @imshopping on Twitter.
The company says “trained experts” will offer detailed responses with information pulled from a variety of sources, including reviews from third-party sites and blogs. The idea is to give the same level of service as in-store clerks, but online.
The site is launching with 20,000 questions in the database. Some user-submitted questions on the IM Shopping home page now are, “Where Can I find unique denim skirts?” and “Can you tell me when Saks’ secret sale will be?”

About David Burn

I wrote my first ad for a local political candidate when I was 17. She went on to win her race, and I felt the power of persuasive copy for the first time. Starting in Portland in 1995, I worked my way across the country as a copywriter and eventually became a content director making media products for big packaged goods brands. I returned to Oregon in 2008, and now I focus on building brands for companies that matter, including this one.
