Henry Blodget of Business Insider recently sat down with Jim Grant, one of the country’s premier financial analysts and historians.
A former Barron’s staff writer, Grant founded Grant’s Interest Rate Observer close to 30 years ago. Even in an age of 24/7 online news, the publication remains one of the leading authorities on debt, bonds, Japan and the economy.

I take note of this interview because once again, here we have an industry reporter going it alone and making it big. I just visited Grant’s Web site and learned that a single issue can be downloaded for $70.
