I don’t typically follow agency personnel moves, but this one caught my eye because it highlights the growing importance of content as a marketing service.
The Martin Agency has hired Neil Patel to serve as its SVP/Director of Content Strategy & Development, a new position for the agency.
Patel developed early brand integrations on cable, managed the launch of an eight figure branded entertainment attraction for General Motors at Walt Disney World, and worked with American Express to launch The Lion King on Broadway.
“I realized that The Martin Agency and its amazing people have the will and skill to operate like a content company that happens to also make killer advertising that works,” says Patel.
BTW, there’s another Neil Patel (who’s kind of a big deal) with a much juicier Google profile, but he’s a totally different over-achiever.
The Martin Agency Ramps Up Its Content Offering
I wrote my first ad for a local political candidate when I was 17 (she went on to win her race, and I felt the power of persuasive copy for the first time). Today, I live near Portland, Oregon and spend my days building brands for companies that matter.
