Tech Journalists Weigh In At SouthBy

Are you fatigued buy all the SouthBy coverage on this site and others? I ask because there’s more than one week’s worth of content nuggets to unearth.

For instance, Pelpina Trip of WebBeat.TV spoke to Richard MacManus, founder of ReadWriteWeb about his team’s use of Beluga’s group messaging service, and about Marshall Kirkpatrick’s breaking story regarding the eminent, but still unannounced, launch of Google Circles.

Ms. Trip also chatted on camera with another journalist, Leo Laporte, host of online tech-oriented videostream TWiT Live.

Laporte’s comments about CNN missing the point by broadcasting news from SXSW on TV is interesting, but I think he’s missing the point. Broadcast isn’t for the inside the Austin bubble audience, which is miniature. It’s for the millions of people who have never been to SXSW, but stand to be impacted by the developments there through the games they play and sites they frequent.
