Subway Sliced And Diced By Arby’s

Crispin believes in disruption. If there is a status quo lying around someplace unprotected, Crispin’s team will seek it and destroy. They’ve done it for pizza, for cars, and now they’re doing it for Arby’s roast beef.

Of course, Arby’s is no local deli. But by comparison to the fast food slinging giants, like Subway, they are a step closer to the careful consideration, and friendly nod we’ve come to expect in a deli. And Arby’s new agency wisely runs with this brand truth.

About David Burn

I wrote my first ad for a local political candidate when I was 17. She went on to win her race, and I felt the power of persuasive copy for the first time. Starting in Portland in 1995, I worked my way across the country as a copywriter and eventually became a content director making media products for big packaged goods brands. I returned to Oregon in 2008, and now I focus on building brands for companies that matter, including this one.
