Six days to the Iowa Caucus and anti-establishment Republican Ron Paul is polling well, a fact which frightens mainstream Republicans like Newt Gingrich, who would rather vote for Obama than Paul next November.
According to ClickZ, Endorse Liberty, an independent expenditure group established just days ago, is targeting pro-Paul ads to Iowa Republicans on Facebook.
The ad links to a lengthy 12 minute video on YouTube featuring a clickable button that allows people to post a message in support of Paul on their Facebook pages.
Paul is an interesting candidate because he is a radical voice in a sea of corporate sameness. He wants to eliminate income taxes, the Federal Reserve Bank and walk away from our Imperialist foreign policy. These are either common sense positions or the rantings of a mad man, depending on your point of view.
It should be noted that there will be no anti-corporate, anti-New World Order voices on the left this year. Should Paul do well in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina things could get interesting. Of course, the Republican machine will try to crush him, but they’re working with some pretty blunt tools.
