Palmetto Staters For Unfettered Capitalism

SCPC-mondays.jpg
Unleashing Capitalism, a campaign from SC Policy Council and Atlanta’s Huey + Partners, claims to be a prescription for economic prosperity in South Carolina–the state with the 4th highest unemployment rate and the 3rd highest student drop out rate in the nation.
SC Policy Council is pushing an agenda of limited government, free enterprise and individual liberty. I’ve never heard of this group until now, so I’m not sure what to make of them, but I will say capitalism has been running free, and often times roughshod over innocent people, for generations. Apparently, this libertarian-minded group wants it to run freer and farther.
At any rate, we like to judge ads here not political movements. The ad above is interesting because many people actually dread Mondays, precisely because of capitalism. Turning that old equation on its head seems like a good way to get people interested in this topic.

  1. I love stuff like this. Good, bad or otherwise it stretches the boundaries of what ads can do or try to do.
