Nebraska Advertising Gets A Blog

Following the lead of Idaho and some other locales, there’s now NE Creative, a blog about advertising in Nebraska.
Don’t make any, uh, corn-y heartland-insulting jokes here. 2 of our 4 AdPulpers, Mr. Shawn and Mr. David, are proud Cornhusker dudes.

  1. Aside from this new one, there are also two pretty nice ad and design blogs coming out of Omaha. They are Marketing Inside Out, which is written by Kim Mickelsen at Bozell (where Shawn and I met). And there’s Be A Design Group, which is written by a number of different Omaha graphic designers.

  2. Thanks for the love. Be A Design Group and Marketing Inside Out are both good blogs. BADG also has a good podcast. However both center around design or marketing and don’t celebrate Nebraska’s finest ad men and women, or designers. That is what NE Creative is about. That and any other advertising/design stuff I find. I will try not to go on a rant but I am not from Nebraska so I and like many of the other people who didn’t go to UNL don’t associate Nebraska with the Cornhuskers. The Big O(maha) is Creighton Bluejay and UNO Maverick territory mostly. I have come to like the term “No Coast.” Thanks again for the love and keep up the great work I enjoy reading your web site daily, keeping up on what is happening in the Ad Biz.

  3. I knew you were from Omaha, David. Where is Shawn from?
    (Columbus, myself)

  4. The enigmatic and elusive Shawn is in Omaha as Interactive Services Director for Turnpost Creative Group (a 13-person full-service agency (except Media).
