Men Need Guidance. Fortunately, Advertising Can Help.

So I’m listening to the radio in my car today, and up pops a commercial for Autolite car parts. Some very Jerky-Boys like voice starts talking about Cubic Zirconia, and a VO says, “These man tips brought to you by Autolite.”
Well, I don’t know who made it on air first–the Autolite campaign or the new Miller Lite campaign. But I have other questions: Do men really need lots of rules and advice, and are the men that make up most advertising creative departments really the right men to be dispensing such advice?
