Meet The King Of Self-Promotion

“This century will be won on intuition, emotion and networking. Who gets straight A+s in all these fundamental skills? Women.” -Kevin Roberts, CEO Worldwide, Saatchi & Saatchi and author of Lovemarks
While it’s not a blog, Kevin Roberts does keep a personal web site where he warehouses his speeches, press clippings, links and the like.

About David Burn

Co-founder and editor of AdPulp. I wrote my first ad for a political candidate when I was 17 years old. She won her race and I felt the seductive power of advertising for the first time. I worked for seven agencies in five states before launching my own practice in 2009. Today, I am head of brand strategy and creative at Bonehook in Portland, Oregon.

  1. Clyde Hogg says:

When I worked at Saatchi and Saatchi in San Francisco, to give you an idea of how clueless management in New York was about the satellite offices, one time a hotshot NY Executive (I think it was the pres, or something) came out and talked to the 50 or so employees of the SF outpost and said that “bonuses would not be affected” by certain agency moves. Nice, except no one in the office outside of maybe two or three people got bonuses.
That Christmas, in lieu of Christmas bonuses, the Saatchi boys sent an expensive, oversized four-color brochure to each employee displaying their multi-million-dollar art collection aquisitions for the year.
    Ahh, yes. The ad biz.
