Martha’s Community Ready To Bloom

According to Ad Age, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia is going the wiki way.
The company already receives enormous traffic to MarthaStewart.com and is a powerhouse in the lifestyle space, but it has apparently decided to see what else it might do.
President-CEO Susan Lyne said, “We are at work right now on a second site that will be much more community-based and will have wikis. We have only begun to scratch the surface of what is possible.”
“We have a pretty good sense of how big TV, magazines and merchandise can get,” she said. “The big wild-card opportunity for us really is that internet world. We don’t know how far the upside goes.”

About David Burn

I wrote my first ad for a local political candidate when I was 17. She went on to win her race, and I felt the power of persuasive copy for the first time. Starting in Portland in 1995, I worked my way across the country as a copywriter and eventually became a content director making media products for big packaged goods brands. I returned to Oregon in 2008, and now I focus on building brands for companies that matter, including this one.
