Macy’s Has No Pride

Consumerist reports that Macy’s in Boston, under pressure from a conservative group, has removed two male mannequins, one wearing a rainbow flag. The display was meant to support Boston Pride, a nine-day gay pride event.
In related news, Coors Brewing Co. has no such qualms.

  1. why do companies continue to make these displays of support for the gay community, only to crumble like a house of cards at the first sign of oppostion. are they so stupid as to not anticipate any backlash?
