It is hard to look away from the tight horse race for Mitch McConnell’s Senate seat.
Pundits call the challenger, Alison Lundergan Grimes, 35, a long shot. If she’s such a long shot, why does the incumbent Senator need to appeal to Kentucky women with this charade of an ad?
Perhaps, a new Courier-Journal/Survey USA Bluegrass poll released Monday that shows McConnell leads Grimes by just one percentage point, 44 percent to 43 percent, has McConnell and his cronies inside the Beltway running scared.
Here’s the Grimes campaign on McConnell’s lack of regard for women.
Who will Kentucky voters believe? The sorority sisters paid for their lip service, or the little old lady who wants an answer from her Senator (that will never come)?
Grimes, who has kept her distance from President Obama (as a political necessity), also has former President Clinton in her camp, and Bill Clinton knows how to motivate people to vote.
My hope is we’re waking up to a new common sense in America, and making way for new people and better ideas.
