Look What Passes for “Radical” These Days


The Goat Blog on High Country News points to the fact that the above ad was rejected by ABC.
That’s pretty tough action from the “liberal media.” I suppose they don’t want to upset any of the well-paying energy companies who are busy greenwashing the airwaves.
WeCanSolveIt.org asks that you let ABC know how you feel. They even type the words that you presumably feel into a text box ready to be electronically delivered to ABC execs at once.

I am disappointed by ABC’s refusal to air the Alliance for Climate Protection’s Repower America ad. The ad has the simple message that massive spending on ads by oil and coal companies — ads which your network airs — is a key reason our nation hasn’t switched to clean, renewable sources for energy.
Please reconsider your decision and air the Repower America ad.
