High Tech Consumer Device Gets The Taylor Swift Treatment

180LA tapped country star Taylor Swift to help sell Sony’s new cyber-shot DSC-TX7 digital still camera.

It’s hard to tout product features in a 30-second TV format, especially when you’re paying a four-time Grammy winner to appear in your spot, but this camera has some interesting features, so I’ll help Sony and 180LA out here.
The camera’s intelligent iSweep Panorama feature captures ultra-wide panoramic shots in one easy “press and sweep” motion; a technology innovation currently only available from Sony. The TX7 also takes stunning low-light images; can shoot 10 images in one second; and is the world’s smallest camera capable of full high-definition AVCHD video recording and playback. The camera has a 3.5-inch high resolution touch LCD screen and is available in silver, dark blue and red for about $400.

About David Burn

I wrote my first ad for a local political candidate when I was 17. She went on to win her race, and I felt the power of persuasive copy for the first time. Starting in Portland in 1995, I worked my way across the country as a copywriter and eventually became a content director making media products for big packaged goods brands. I returned to Oregon in 2008, and now I focus on building brands for companies that matter, including this one.
