Coppola Brings Sparkling Wine Down To Size

from MSNBC: Niebaum-Coppola Winery, owned by film director Francis Ford Coppola, is selling its Sofia blanc de blancs sparkling wine — named for daughter and fellow director Sofia — in a 187 ml serving, just big enough for one drinker’s thirst and a neat way to enjoy sparkling wine without opening a full-size bottle.

About David Burn

  1. I’m sorry, but ever since I saw Sofia Coppola play Corleone’s daughter in Godfather III, I have had an impression of her that does not tranfer well to canned wine. I remember the scene where she dies garnered LAUGHTER from the audience.

  2. Two words, Clyde. Virgin Suicides.

  3. Haven’t seen any virgins committing suicide, either as an actor or director. Does committing suicide transfer successfully into canned wine?
