Celebs Sell Subs On Twitter And TV

Subway is giving away $10 Subway gift cards to people who participate in its “Tweet to Eat” promotion.

According to Media Post’s Marketing Daily, each day during the promo a famous Subway fan encourages people to use Twitter to weigh in on why they are “a great fit” for the Subway brand. Participants submit their responses to @subwayfreshbuzz on Twitter.
Also during April, two new 30-second broadcast/cable television spots are featuring montages of the same famous Subway fans touting the chain’s $5 Footlongs. While timed to create synergy for the Twitter promotion, the TV spots do not actually allude to the social media contest.
