Cabela’s Goes Fishing For Wall Street’s Favor

US stocks dropped in volatile trading today, as a toxic mix of weak economic data and a surprise oil-market intervention competed for investors’ attention with reports of a new Greek austerity plan.

But even a bad day of trading is a PR opportunity for the companies whose shares are traded on the New York exchange. A company like Cabela’s (CAB) from Sydney, Nebraska, for instance.

I think the PR opportunity in this case might have been enhanced had the Cabela’s team worn camouflage and other sportswear for sale in their stores.
