I was interested to learn that The Society of American Business Editors and Writers (in association with the University of Missouri School of Journalism) includes blogs in its Best in Business awards.

Greg Hinz of Crain’s Chicago Business; Ian Lamont of TheStandard.com; and Jonathan Blum of blumsday.com were recognized for excellence in blogging. As was Ad Age for the Ad Age Power 150, a ranking of marketing blogs, including many of the social media, SEO and “how to make money on the Web” variety.
The Best In Business awards ceremony will be held April 27, during SABEW’s annual conference at the Westin Tabor Center in Denver.
I think I’d like to join this organization. I wonder if they’ll have me.
