i think this is interesting - how huge entities like google can potentially make a huge difference through the smallest of movements or gestures. nice idea, simply executed.
Google did that before. I don't know why they don't do it for ever. That would be a bolder move.
Hmm. Sort of like 1994ish when the entire internet went black....all 15o sites:-) In was in support of something but I can't remember what it was now.
well at least Google is demonstrating some connection to reality. something sorely lacking from most american corporations. and our government.
think the white house went black for an hour? or was even aware that this event was even happening? or cared?

Not to sound too cynical, but don’t you think the idea happened over drinks between a Google account executive and a Publicis media wonk? Leo Burnett co-owns the branding rights to Earth Hour.
